First registered in October 1957, this 220 S Cabriolet belongs to the celebrated Mercedes-Benz “Ponton” era, a defining chapter in the marque’s post-war history. The Ponton models introduced a more modern and integrated body design, moving away from the separate-wing… proportions of pre-war automobiles while retaining the formal elegance and craftsmanship for which Mercedes-Benz was already renowned.
At the time of its launch, the 220 S Cabriolet represented one of the most prestigious and exclusive ways to experience Mercedes-Benz motoring.
